Described by the Evening Standard newspaper as "one of the biggest security breaches to hit a British firm" in November 2016 when the company disclosed that 711,000 candidates from China, Netherlands and the UK had been impacted by a data breach after one of their third-party suppliers accidentally exposed a backup database containing roughly 30GB of the company's SQL files by publishing it to a publicly facing website.
The exposed candidate information included names, email addresses, encrypted passwords, phone numbers and job-related information.
