In July 2017, it was reported that up to 14 million subscribers could have been affected by a data breach which affected any customer that contacted the company's customer service during 2017.
These records were held on a server that was controlled by Israel-based Nice Systems. The actual data obtained were log files that became generated when customers contacted the company via phone.
The data breach was discovered by a security researcher, who informed the company in late-June. It took the company more than a week to secure the breached data.
