In February 2018, this was Singapore's largest data breach which affected 685,000 users after a senior moderator's credentials were compromised at the forum site.
The company disclosed that unauthorised parties accessed names, email addresses and user IDs but confirmed that the database did not contain National Registration Identity Card numbers, telephone numbers or addresses as these were "purged in line with the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) Guidelines" back in July 2015.
In June 2020, a financial penalty of $26,000 was imposed on the company by the Personal Data Protection Commission for failure to establish reasonable security arrangements to prevent the unauthorised access of member's personal data.
